1. Do you charge for a consultation? During the appointment Dr. Diaz will spend an entire hour with you discussing recovery, addressing your questions and having you try on implant sizes or morphing your photo for rhinoplasty surgery. 2. How much will my procedure cost? One of the biggest concerns patients have about moving forward with surgery, is cost. 4. How soon after my consultation can I have my surgery? Dr. Diaz has a busy surgery schedule but we make every effort possible to accomodate your request. Usually we schedule about a month from your consultation but we will arrange our schedule to get you in sooner if need be.

5. What should I bring to my consultation? That depends on the surgery you are considering. If you are going to have a breast augmentation you should bring a snug fitting top. Part of the consultation will involve you putting on a special bra that can hold the implants. Dr. Diaz will have you try on a range of sizes to determine what size you like best. If you are wearing a tight shirt you can see the results the best. We also suggest you take a little time browsing through our photo gallery of former patients so that you can show Dr. Diaz what look you like best, whether you are considering breast augmentation or rhinoplasty. By being specific about what you hope to achieve, you’re doing your part in ensuring you are happy with your result.

The meeting reviewed numerous research studies investigating the safety of silicone breast implants. The committee assigned to review these studies concluded that breast implants are completely safe to use. There was no evidence of increased risk of diseases or other health problems associated with silicone implants.

The conclusion of this meeting supports the fact that silicone implants are completely safe to use in breast augmentation. Although there was some concern about implants in the past, this study and others show that silicone implants do not increase the risk of any health problems. It is important to note that all surgery has potential risks.
